What the job is

You run solo over the road on dry van freight, no touch, out of our Lemont, Illinois office and yard, OTR routes only — no dedicated runs. Most of what we haul is drop and hook, so your day is driving rather than waiting on a dock.

Pay structure is your choice: $0.70 per mile and up, or 30% of gross — gross, not line haul, which is better than most carriers offer and worth asking any other carrier about directly. A recruiter will walk through both on your call so you can pick what fits your lanes.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A
  • Minimum 2 years OTR commercial driving experience, any trailer type
  • Clean MVR preferred
  • Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
  • Legally authorized to work in the US

What comes with it

An assigned late-model automatic sleeper with APU, refrigerator and microwave, a dispatcher who knows your name, weekly direct deposit, safety and fuel bonuses, and both rider and pet programs.

Home time, your choice

Pick your rotation: 3 weeks out and 3 days home, or 4 weeks out and 4 days home. You choose which fits your life, and we plan the lanes around it.

Questions

Solo driving FAQ

Which pay structure should I pick?

It is your choice: $0.70 per mile and up, or 30% of gross. Gross, not line haul — that is worth more than most carriers offer. A recruiter can talk through which one suits your lanes.

Do I get my own truck?

Yes. You are assigned a tractor and it stays yours. We do not slip-seat drivers between runs.

Is the freight no touch?

Yes. We run dry van, drop and hook. You are not unloading pallets or working a lumper.

How much OTR experience do I need?

Two years of OTR commercial driving experience, with any trailer type. That is the one requirement we do not move on, because insurance and freight commitments depend on it.

How does home time work for solo drivers?

You choose: 3 weeks out and 3 days home, or 4 weeks out and 4 days home. Pick the rotation that fits your life and stick with it.

Is this a W-2 job or 1099?

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. A $2,500 refundable deposit applies, returned when the truck is brought back to the yard in good condition.

Trucks are sitting. Drivers are not.

If you have two years of OTR experience, we can usually get you an answer the same day you call.
